Coopers Filters Limited is a long established company with origins going back to 1919 when, as Coopers Mechanical Joints, it began to manufacture washers and gaskets as Original Equipment for the automotive industry.

The company continued to expand and, in 1940, diversified its manufacturing range to include the manufacture of oil and fuel strainers, the design of which was considered revolutionary at the time.

Since then, the company has been primarily committed to the research, development and manufacture of filters and filtration systems to meet the exacting demands of Original Equipment manufacturers.

Coopers Filters is part of the SOGEFI group and along with High Street brands such as Fram, Fiaam, Crosland, Tecnocar and Purflux form one of Europe's largest filter groups. The company has undergone a number of significant changes which have served to strengthen its position as a major filter manufacturer and in particular, its position as the UK's leading manufacturer of Original Equipment Air Cleaners.

Coopers Filters Limited design and manufacture a comprehensive range of air and liquid filtration systems primarily designed to meet the exacting needs of Original Equipment manufacturers throughout the world. Their comprehensive range of Air Cleaners are manufactured using metal, plastic and composite construction and include the Cooperpac, which is suitable for medium and heavy duty applications, a full range of Plastic Air Cleaners and the revolutionary Maxicone range, designed and developed to offer twice the life of more conventional products.

The product range also offers an extensive range of spin-on filters, the design of which means that many are suitable for a wide range of popular light vehicle applications.
